Two July Trunk Shows

Mercantile (SW Alder between Park and Broadway) is having two trunk shows this month… first is the Vince show from July 16-19. Here are a few of my favorite looks from their site…

Also, Mercantile is letting customers take $25 off your Vince purchase during the sale.

Next is the James Jeans Trunk show from July 30-Aug 2. It’s always hard to judge women’s jeans on a website but I’m liking these shorts and I’d love to see my guy in some of their men’s jeans.

Covet’s New Online Home

Which is worse – a bad website or no website at all? I hate seeing “under construction” signs on a placeholder site for months, or even years, but then again having no website doesn’t even give you a promise of anything to come.

So even though it’s been around for a while adding lots of style to the West End, Covet just recently opened up their online home. And they’ve done it right, with a full-fledged, beautifully finished website at www.lovecovet.com. So visit them online or at their boutique on SW 10th Ave between Washington and Stark.

First Thursday Roundup

During that freak snow storm this last winter, my husband and I braved the cold to wander around the Pearl in search of fine art, good sales and hot cider. It was fun – but I’ll be honest, I enjoy First Thursday much more when the sun is out. Here are some highlights for this evening…
